Trump is a resident of Florida , is he not ? The law simply states , A Florida resident who is a convicted felon cannot seek public office. It does not specify if that public position is state or federal. Cannot hold a public office. End of story. End of Trump.

Well yes states don’t have that ability, have for years. States have police powers and can regulate medical car for example, they can also outlaw drugs for example, making it illegal for a woman to put cocaine in her body if they want
