Vermont Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy won’t seek reelection

Just think, if you're lucky you'll have that malignant pshchopath Trump back in power along with a slew of his lackeys like McCarthy, Scalise, Gaetz, Jordan & the rest of the scum who enable that degenerate.

Yeah, just imagine. No border crisis. No inflationary spiral. No fascist mandates from the Whitehouse. No energy crisis.

Yep. Better in every way than the little dictator in the WH now.

I enjoy these sorts of threads. Almost all of us agree that people stay in congress too long and yet when someone from "the other side" finally decides to step down it is nothing but an attack on that person and their reasons why.

Partisanship is a terrible disease.

No energy crisis? Wat...climate change is destroying the planet

Vermont is not a state.
It's a province of New York city.
The majority of voters in Vermont vote absentee from their NYC penthouses or take the family private jet up there to actually cast a ballot in person. Then write it off as a business trip.
Most real Vermonters long ago fleeced the citycrats - sold them the farms - and moved to Florida.

Vermont's governor is a (R). Its not as safe as we may think

Yeah, but it's still Vermont. Scott would still be the underdog if he ran. Voters approach gubernatorial races differently than federal. Plus, his likely opponent would be Peter Welch, Vermont's at large Congressman in the House.
