Verdict reached in Karmelo murder trial

The only reason he didn't get life was that he was a minor when he committed the murder and the law restricts the punishment.

My understanding was, that because of his age at the time of the murder, he couldn't receive the death penalty, but also my understanding was that he could have gotten life.
I could be wrong, but I think that's what I read.

A decent outcome for an individual that took the life of someone — and he gets to spend his first week in his new home.

His attorney attempted to turn it into a racial discussion, and I’m glad that reality reasserted itself.

Arbery would be alive had he kept his hands to himself.
Good Lord. Really? Arbery’s case was a slam dunk murder just like Metcalf’s was. I was glad to see the families of both those young men get some justice.

I know. I am twisting the could have or would have scenario like those making excuses for Anthony.

Arbery would not be dead had he didn’t grab the weapon. He should walk away instead he wanted a confrontation.
