While Cuba and Bolivia were accepted into the BRICS bloc as associate states, the Bolivarian regimen of President Nicolás Maduro blamed Brazil for Venezuela's exclusion.

Wow, how embarrassing for Venezuela, Cuba gets in and they do not.

It is also noted that Vietnam got in. This is where a great deal of manufacturing has been moving to when leaving China. I wonder if the power that be will get Americans to hate Vietnam now.

Isn't Venezuela essentially a bankrupt nation? ~S~

I am no fan of the far-left governments but let's not be too smug, the West is in a difficult fiscal spot also thanks to the bloated debt and government over decades.

My favorite power plant job for Cranston Print ( an old Rockefeller company) moved to South Vietnam. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Does Cuba, who got in, not fall into the unproductive broke nation category?

Yes but they have massive hydrocarbon wealth if they can develop it.
They did develop it then the empire sanctioned them decades ago, ruining their economy.

You're not suggesting that Western countries be they U.S, Canada, France, England, Germany are in the same boat as Venezuela are you?

I imagine you mean that BRICS is being selective.

Venezuela was prosperous once. Then it dared oppose the empire you love. Massive oil reserves, but that empire you love prevents them from selling it.

The Empire I love has protected more liberty and freedom around the world than any other. I agree, it's a dirty business at times, but each nation that has been an ally of America has been in a better place domestically and otherwise than ANY other nations.

Japan, Germany (once enemies) are booming today and their citizens are their citizens are free and happy. South Korea? Compare them to North Korea for an appreciation of which Empire is the better one to side with.

All of this, on top of America leading the world to keep world peace. With the right leadership you avoid wars and death by being America.

On and on, so don't ever forget, “Capitalism is the worst economic system, except for all the others,”

Lol.

The empire you love is now the Evil Empire. You don’t this obvious fact because you’ve consumed too much propaganda.

I love how you statists always use the supposed Good War to make your uninformed points. Yeah we destroyed Germany only to give half of Europe to the worst regime in history. Then we bombed the fuck out of North Korea murdering vast numbers of people. So, if you knew this and could reason, you’d know why NK hates us.

Alert: the US is not a capitalist economy. It’s a quasi fascist economy.

I am thinking it is just a poke at the US allowing Cuba in. They have nothing to offer BRICS outside of it proximity to the US
Cuba is yet another nation that dared to oppose the empire. For this, they have been ruthlessly attacked by the empire for decades. It too like Venezuela, was once extremely prosperous.

You and I share the same view about the sanctions against Cuba.

The America of the 1980s was near invincible, this is the time frame I relate to most in terms of understanding what America stood for and their global reputation. That would be the sweet spot time frame and it isn't even probably truly the height of the U.S power, though it was more obviously morally respected compared to the Eastern Bloc.

Again, you mock my beliefs as if I'm naive. I'm not naive, I know the games that governments play, often biblically imperfect. What is most important to me is what America does to protect freedom in nations that believe in these principles, you must lead by example and demand other nations do the same.

You compare this to other nations who, if they DO change, will gain on the U.S but currently are well behind on principle.

If people in America, Britain, Canada, Germany, France etc. have civil liberties violated it is greatly in the benefit both morally and economically, among other benefits; for these nations to hold to account any violators. The Goodwill America has built up around the globe is unmatched. It shouldn't be weakened to benefit any party or short term objective.
