Remind me where you are iamwhat. . .here in Albuquerque the temps are in the very low 90's which is normal and pleasant for us this time of year. Supposed to be cooler the next few days.

Not at all. Indiana is a tall state. Where I live is almost exactly due east of Charleston, WV - Richmond, VA
We get very little snow, and when we do - it is usually gone in 48 hours or sooner

Yes. Hombre and I have spent quite a bit of time in Indianapolis and never really had a lot of weather concerns there. But we just had a hard rain shower come through here and we're down to a very comfortable 74 degrees right now. Loving it.

And welcome back to the Coffee Shop. It has been awhile and good to see you.

I lived in Artesia for eight years.

Nope. Only time I've been in Washington State was to change planes in Seattle. Have some friends who live there though and post awesome candid photos on Facebook.

Hombre and I have lived in Texas (twice), New Mexico (twice for me), Kansas and West Virginia. We've been here in the Albuquerque area longer than anywhere else now; long enough to feel like natives.

I did most of my growing up in Lea County (Lovington) just 60 miles from Artesia and went through there many many times on the way to church camp in the Sacramentos, to see kinfolk in the Dexter/Roswell area, etc. And when Hombre were still running our business we were in and out of or driving through Artesia on average once a month. It's hard to travel the southeast quadrant of the state and not go through Artesia.

I agree. Kansas doesn't have a lot of exotic scenery or tourist attractions, but it definitely has some great people.

The Mountains to the north of Albuquerque are wonderful !

I liked being able to get to Cloudcroft or Ruidoso in the summer. So much cooler.

There was a little area called Queen that was to our south and west but up higher that was 15 F cooler than Artesia. Not much there but some good stroll hiking.

Wife lost another kitten last. There are 15 or more in the back yard. Smallest died rather early. Munchkin was doing well until he wasn't. Been calling shelters, all full. Customer is checking west side out for me

I guess everybody knows by now that AI (artificial intelligence) is here to stay. The uses and possibilities for it are infinite and while it will no doubt revolutionize all technology in time, it is obvious its potential for good and its potential for evil is almost infinite as far as we can tell now.

On social media and multi-player game sites and such, we see GAN generated images--images that look like real people, sometimes famous people, but are computer generated--which of course can be harmless or used by scam artists to fool you into thinking you're interacting with some gorgeous chick or handsome hunk who is actually a boiler room employee trained to trick you into giving him access to your money, personal information or whatever.

But sometimes it can be just plain fun too. In this case none of the famous people on the runway are real--they are all AI generated--for an official AI fashion show

Its 6.30 AM in England, I have been awake for hours. I am too worried about my sister to get to sleep. She has a serious eye infection and has been put on anti biotics for three months. But she does not want to take it, and has stopped once already. I have been trying to tell her eye surgeons don't prescribe penicillin for three months for nothing, but her next appointment is not until September, and she keeps saying she wants to stop taking it because its unpleasant. Not only that but she has brittle bones and she fell down and broke her hip a few months ago.
I am terrified she is going to fall over again. Doctors want her to take drugs to strengthen her bones, but she does not want to take more drugs. What to do, what to do. I am scared.
