Exactly how did we half-step in Korea? We pushed the North Koreans almost to the Chinese border. Then what happened? It turns out millions of Chinese who are too stupid to know better than to be mowed down by the thousands can push a battle pretty well when they outnumber you. If you recall MacArthur wanted to get the Chinese fully involved. Truman said no, so the war stagnated to a stalemate. Apparently, your historical knowledge is about as good as Joe Biden's promises not to pardon Hunter.That is exactly my point. There was no intention of winning in Korea or Vietnam. I agree that in both cases the US should have cleaned up those conflicts if they were going to get involved. I don't believe in half stepping.
