The Jews have the oldest claim. So, your statement is laughable on its face.Except of course for the people who lived there before the Jews.

Other than those who descended from the Canaanites. The Jews have the oldest claim.
There is no group that exists today that has been there longer than the Jews.Except of course for the people who lived there before the Jews.
You don't understand the concept of "Oldest"?Other than those who descended from the Canaanites.
They do not constitute a group. They may have individual rights but no collective rights because they are not a people, but just people living there.Other than those who descended from the Canaanites.
Peole still talk of being descendants of the Canaanites. And the Phoenicians. You don't understand the concept of "Oldest"?
Unless they claim to be.They do not constitute a group.
They talk about it. The Jews can prove it.Peole still talk of being descendants of the Canaanites. And the Phoenicians.
You understand the concept of "before", right?
They can talk. They can even test their DNA. But there is no longer a collective of a distinct peoples who are Canaanite because the ethnicity (culture) no longer exists.Peole still talk of being descendants of the Canaanites. And the Phoenicians.
You understand the concept of "before", right?
No, the descendants of Canaanites do not share a distinct language or religion or or history, etc. that distinguishes them from other people in the region, so they do not constitute a group and therefore have no collective rights as a group.Unless they claim to be.
Who is this "us" that he invokes?“Every corner of this land is important to us. It is an integral part of our faith, and therefore the significance for us is great… We stand entirely by your side,” says Johnson, according to the statement.
Since Johnson is a Christian, he is clearly speaking for Christians, but for those Christians who see the Jews and Christians as having a common interest in preserving the Holy Land as the birth place of both religions and is rejecting the claims of the so called Palestinians.Who is this "us" that he invokes?
Are you joking?Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson says that the “mountains of Judea and Samaria” belong to the Jewish people “by right,” during a visit to the West Bank settlement of Ariel, according to a statement by the settlement’s municipal authority.
Johnson, who is among the most senior US officials to ever visit a West Bank settlement, speaks at a celebratory event attended by Ariel Mayor Yair Chetboun and the mayors of other West Bank settlements.
“Every corner of this land is important to us. It is an integral part of our faith, and therefore the significance for us is great… We stand entirely by your side,” says Johnson, according to the statement.
“Scripture teaches us that the mountains of Judea and Samaria were promised to the Jewish people, and they belong to them by right. But many people around the world do not see it like this, they label it the ‘occupied territories’ or the ‘West Bank’ or any other name,” he adds. “Every mayor here should know exactly where we stand regarding this issue — and we stand with you.”

America leading the way to a rational, peaceful ME.
So then it belongs to the Canaanites. As it is used today, the term, Palestinians, is a propaganda term, so there were no Palestinians until after WWI, but the Jews built Jerusalem a thousand years before there were any Christians and 1700 years before there were any Arabs or Muslims. There is no group existing today that has been there longer than the Jews.
Johnson's point is that the history and culture of Judaism and early Christianity was played out on the hills and valleys and streets of the villages of this land, so it is sacred land to them, but Islam's only connection to this land is that Muhammud claimed he had once had a dream that he ascended to heaver from the Temple Mount that had been built by Jews 1700 years before he had been born.
While the Arabs/Muslims, the so called Palestinians, certainly have legal rights to the land they own, they have no collective rights to the land because they never existed as a people aside from the propaganda narrative they are trying to peddle.
So what? That's my point. They talk about it. The Jews can prove it.
Not according to the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, who is next in line for the presidency if Trump should die in office and Vance were not able to assume the office. So then it belongs to the Canaanites.
How much authority does that give him in Palestine? Not according to the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, who is next in line for the presidency if Trump should die in office and Vance were not able to assume the office.
Quite a bit, since as Speaker he pretty much controls what bills become law.How much authority does that give him in Palestine?
