Johnson, who is among the most senior US officials to ever visit a West Bank settlement, speaks at a celebratory event attended by Ariel Mayor Yair Chetboun and the mayors of other West Bank settlements.

“About a dozen. In Acre four soldiers raped a girl and murdered her and her father. In Jaffa, soldiers of the Kiryati Brigade raped one girl and tried to rape several more. It's not Jews or Israel that came to the middle east. It was a change from an older, pagan religion that Hebrews came out of. Jewish wasn't used until about 1000 AD. I think during the transition that they also called themselves Israelites.

Yes. The Native Americans have rights to self-determination and sovereignty in their ancestral homeland as indigenous peoples. But, imo, this does not exclude others from also having rights to self-determination (the radical pragmatism of "can't unbreak those eggs" and recognition that peoples migrate. But using violence to achieve that or to commit ethnic cleansing is neither desirable nor inevitable. It is a consistent moral position to hold.

The only government was Israel's. The only defined territory was Israel's. The only population was Israel's. The fact that Israel, upon Declaration of Independence, chose to change the name from Palestine to Eretz Israel, does not change these fundamental facts.
