Shows lack of will and imagination from our leadership. In WW2... they could take a 17 year old farm boy throw him in a crash pilot program and turn him into a fighter or bomber pilot... simply because the need was there.

Today we have Soldiers who joined all for the purpose of serving their country and they are not even able to act as a spotter for the border patrol... or at least assist.

They can stand in peoples way so they cant simply walk across. Its not rocket science. Once the word gets out that we are no longer allowing people over the border, they will stop coming up through Mexico,

Oh politicians will say they were not trained for that sort of thing.. plus no one wants to be labled as being racist by protecting the border, even though it isnt. Again, we have elected people who have no imagination, no will, no sense of urgency when it comes down to actually doing things for the people.... other than speaking in platitudes.

Our military has billions of dollars worth of equipment... that we all paid for ...and guarding a border against people who are mostly unarmed except for the drug gangs ..THATS impossible.. It's too complicated!! makes you wonder how our soldiers defeated the German army as they were nearly freezing to death in the forests... again... we have politicians with no sense of history.

We still have thousands of homeless people living on the streets and politicians think its a good thing to bring in millions more who will need a place to live, before they even try and solve that first problem... that they created.

They have cell phones and internet too. they know what is going on. If biden was serious and said..Imm sending 50,000 troops the border and we are going to put a halt to border crossings.... they would sense there was some seriousness to the message. Over time, people would not want to make the long trek for nothing. As it is.. everyone knows 1,500 troops is window dressing. everything will just continue as is.

Sending that many military to the border would have a serious impact on our ability to carry out missions overseas. You guys seem to think that the military is a catch all for whatever, but it's not.

If anyone was looking for a real solution, they would increase the size of the Border Patrol (who's mission it is), or increase the size of law enforcement in border towns. But, it won't happen, because many people would bitch about the added expense.

While you might say that border security is a specific reason, the rules of the U.S. military do not. If you had actually served in the military, you might understand that.

What really sucks is all it would take is one strong standing even if that meant shooting a few illegals.

Thank God Biden has finally realized that our border patrol agents need help in helping illegals out of the water, giving the illegals goody bags, giving the illegals free food, lodging, healthcare, transportation, and processing before we let them all loose in the US - never to be seen again. Except protecting our borders is not law enforcement it's protecting our borders which is the militaries job.
Would you expect local law enforcement to fight back an invasion from say china? Of course not and this is no different.
