Much of those imports are just decorations for women, shoes, purses, etc. and toys for kids. There is useful stuff as well.

The debt caused by the trade deficit is said to be about $100,000 per person. However, as only half of us actually pay taxes mine doubles to $200,000. If all my taxes went to my share of the debt it would take ten years to pay it off (if no more debt is added).
