US military desperate to find recruits.

And what can be said about the USSR-Russia in Afghanistan, and now Ukraine?
Russian forces are currently advancing and taking Ukraine's most heavily fortified positions and their most elite units surrender to Russia.
As for Afghanistan, Russia left, but at least the government lasted for 7 years before falling to the Taliban. But the US, was an even biger looser as they were humiliated by the very terrorists they created.

The Soviet Union suffered far, far more soldiers killed in Afghanistan than the U.S. did.

Soviets lost a lot less money on Afghanistan though, while the US lost over 1 trillion dollars in investements to the very terrorists they created, yet they still keep investing money into Afghanistan, only to be taken by the Taliban.

Oh nonsense, it fell into civil war the day they left. The Soviet Occupation ended on 15 February 1989, and the Afghan Civil War started on 15 February 1989.

That lasted until 1992, when the Peshawar Accords were signed. And the ink was not even dry on those accords, when yet another Civil War broke out. This time from 1992-1996, commonly called the "Second Afghan Civil War", for rather obvious reasons.

That lasted until 1996, when the Taliban declared it had won. However, that only resulted in the "Third Afghan Civil War", that lasted from 1996-2001 when the Taliban were kicked out of power.

What, do you really believe that the government was really stable from 1989 until 1996? What do you think the Peshawar Accords were about in the first place? The closest there was to a Government did not even exist until 1992.

Dude, you should really give up on trying to give propaganda, you absolutely suck at it. Because you know, some of us actually do know about that era of Afghanistan, and remember what was going on then.

Whats even the point of bringing up the past? Fact is, you lost the war, against the the proxies you funded and trained. Over 2000 US soldiers died in Afghanistan for nothing and your government wasted over a trillion in money into the country with no return of investment.
You achieved nothing and it will go down as one of the most embarrassing defeats in US history. Same story in Yemen, where you are getting humiliated by Iran-backed militias.

If you can't even defeat what you created, how can you go against an army on your level of power like Russia or China?

If you still think that Russia is the sick man it once was back in the USSR, then you are in for a rude awakening, just like your Ukrainian "allies" in Ukraine, who are getting decimated as we speak.

You tell me, you are the one that brought it up. And now that I am correcting your obvious mistakes, you are acting all butt-hurt.

You brought that up, not me. As I said, you should really stop. You suck at propaganda. Especially as you can not tell the difference between a military defeat, and a political one.

BTW, how does it feel, claiming to support a nation that had a violent overthrow in their country two times in less than a century? And for most of that was run by a series of brutal dictators who killed tens of millions of people?

Political or military defeat, its all the same. Its not like Afghanistan was your first defeat either, you also lost the Vietnam war and the south Vietnamese government you created was ultimately defeat by Soviet and Chinese backed Viet Cong.
Syria: Assad still in power and your "freedom fighters" of the "Free syrian army" turned on you and now work for Turkey, not even caring about Syria anymore. Your "Kurdish" allies are about to be defeated in Syria by Turkey as well and in Iraq by Iran.

"BTW, how does it feel, claiming to support a nation that had a violent overthrow in their country two times in less than a century? And for most of that was run by a series of brutal dictators who killed tens of millions of people?"

And Russia emerged all the stronger for it. At least Russia isnt politicaly as divided as the US, where people have to debate common sense.

Sheesh, stop the bad propaganda failures already.

The Viet Cong were destroyed in 1968. Anybody that knows real history knows that fact. You are so incredibly ignorant, you do not even know who it was that defeated South Vietnam.

But one thing for sure, it taught a lot of us that China and the Soviets-Russians and all other Marxists can not be trusted to keep their word. They will say anything they want, but it means not a damned thing. In the end, it means about as much as the promises that Hitler made to Chamberlin.
