The Daily Shot: Another Fed Rate Cut in September?

"Trade wars are easy to win."

I tend to find Gordan Chang's predictions of Chinese collapse both too pessimistic in that the party will deny everything just as it did 1992-2008 for an unbelievably long time despite images from space showing that they were just blowing bubbles and too optimistic about the nuclear civil war and warlords that will not hesitate in eliminating any and all rivals plus India pulling ahead of them in modern weapons.

Trump said he forced manufacturing to move back into the US. He only made it leave China or China slapped another countries name on their product.. He should have enacted a 9% Tariff on all foreign imports to level the playing field with US taxes. His China trade war will not end well.

It is down. Auto is very soft, defense and infrastructure doing well (govt deficit spending), Ag is soft, paper prices way down on global weakness. This is what I'm seeing in our companies and industries first half of 2019.

The trade war disproportionately hurts the Left coast, which Trump cannot currently win. Losing the China trade in December and the second coming of SALT four months later could bring the left coast into play and/or lead to a lot of D indictments on the left coast.
Actually, the people that suffer the most from a trade war are the right wing.

If the left doesn’t do well then they pay less taxes and Congress has less money to give to poor Republicans in Appalachia and other areas of poverty.

And as far is indictments, no administration has ever been as corrupt as this one. Trump has had more of his aides sent to prison in two years than any administration in history did in eight.
