US forces launch operation to seize fleeing oil tanker

Whoa, somebody come get Marty, he smells toast and cant follow simple english

Figures you can't actually respond. Trump is enforcing sanctions approved by multiple countries involving Russia and their trading partners, to aid Ukraine in their war effort.

So you support Russia now?

U.S. forces moved to seize two tankers on Wednesday, including one that had fled the U.S. blockade of sanctioned vessels near Venezuela and was being escorted by a Russian submarine in the eastern Atlantic, according to U.S. officials.

In the Atlantic, south of Iceland, helicopters and at least one Coast Guard vessel were being used to take control of a tanker formerly known as Bella 1, under the Coast Guard’s law-enforcement authority. The officials said tanker captains and mechanics would be sent on board to operate the ship.

Russia had asked the U.S. to stop pursuing the vessel, according to some of the officials. On Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said it was monitoring “with concern” the situation surrounding the tanker, according to state news agency RIA.

No more pallets of cash, enemies.
No more authorized "small incursions".

It's a new Golden Age of peace through strength, gone are the 12 years of Obama's peace through capitulation.
Yeah, when I read this the other day on what Russia said, it reminded me of the dems always condemning something in the "strongest possible terms". It's quite funny to see the US finally doing something and now Russia is condemning things in the "strongest possible terms".

Obviously it didn't occur to our brilliant strategists that our adversaries have significant financial interests in the sovereign country we have decided to take over.

What a shock.

Actually, we are counting on that.

If you are a nation that has assurances from Russia or China or Iran that they will offer protection when needed,

After watching what everyone just watched in Venezuela are you feeling more comfortable of less comfortable?

(That wasn't really a question for you)

How many american gas tankers travel from the US to Europe? What if someone hijacks a couple of these ships on the grounds that the crew is violating certain laws, for example, those of Papua New Guinea?
It seems that Grandpa is seriously losing his mind... I'm going to drink my treasured bottle of old cognac before it becomes radioactive.

Then the US navy ***** slaps them a new asshole.

How many fronts do you think the US can handle at once?
I'm not talking about conflicts with barefoot savages with Kalashnikovs, but at least with countries that are moderately developed in industrial terms.
Although the US doesn't do very well with savages either. So you think it's high time to start picking on Russia?

Damn reckless Joe Biden, trying to get us into World War III. He needs to stop.

Those Sanctions were passed not just by us, but by other countries, we are just now finally enforcing them.

In terms protecting US flagged oil tankers?
All of them.
The US Navy's main peacetime mission is protecting the oil tankers.

I'm not talking about conflicts with barefoot savages with Kalashnikovs, but at least with countries that are moderately developed in industrial terms.
Ah yes.
Brazil. India. S Korea.
Somehow I do not see them acting in the manner you predict.

Mac1958 and homo nose-ringers last Friday.:
‘Send Ukraine our Tomahawks to destroy Russia!’
This week:
‘Don’t **** with Russia’.
Their runaway hatred for Trump destroyed their capacity for rational thought long ago.
All you can really do is point and laugh.
