Food is extremely easy for humans to produce.

Weapons for hunting and tools for gathering were developed in prehistory, followed by The growth of agriculture.

Any starvation in the world is not a result of food production only being possible in the United States. It is a result of people in other countries focusing on anything but production.

Most often they are focusing either on hatred for some group of people or on the futile pursuit of a socialist ideal, rather than prioritizing feeding themselves and their people.

Giving them food only enables these fruitless (literally) wastes of energy.
