Obama didn’t have anything to do with it. Blagojevich had been under investigation for a while by Patrick Fitzgerald who had sources in his office that recorded him talking about selling the seat. The majority of the investigation, including the arrest, took place before Obama even came into office.
The idea that it was some political hit job by Obama doesn’t make any sense and it’s especially delusional given the fact that the dude was clearly a crook.
