It is indeed real.

During the past two years, the last thing a person would’ve considered doing is saying something racially trivial on social media. People were getting fired from companies and universities left and right, including Dr. Charles Negy. The University of Central Florida fired him for making a racially insensitive tweet, however, he’s expected to return his position, reported News 6 Orlando.

Black privilege is real. Just being white and tweeting about it gets one fired. Thankfully we have a just ruling in this cade. Long live WS!!!

University Must Reinstate Professor Who Tweeted About 'Black Privilege'

The University of Central Florida must reinstate a longtime tenured professor who was fired after comments he made on Twitter were roundly condemned as racist following the murder of George Floyd, an arbitrator has ruled.

The arbitrator said that the university failed to show “just cause” in January 2021, when it terminated the professor, Charles Negy, the author of a book titled “White Shaming: Bullying Based on Prejudice, Virtue-Signaling, and Ignorance.”

There's a difference between "must" and "has"

They have not reinstated anyone. So what's your point ?

“If Afr. Americans as a group, had the same behavioral profile as Asian Americans (on average, performing the best academically, having the highest income, committing the lowest crime, etc.), would we still be proclaiming ‘systematic racism’ exists?” he wrote.

This statement here is extremely ignorant if nothing else. There are schools actively bemoaning the fact that asian students are far out achieving other races and trying to limit their enrollment. There's also something called a glass ceiling. You can go farther based on your achievements but you'll never be equal. Ask any woman. When you say something dumb like this you immediately set up anything else you say as equally as stupid. With that said, it is true, that if your group has a tendency to look down on education and mainstream achievements in science, math and business, while being many times more prone to commit crimes, you will automatically be looked upon as the dregs of society if not consciously, then subconsciously, and with that will come wider discrimination.

In another comment on Twitter, he wrote, “Black privilege is real: Besides affirm. action, special scholarships and other set asides, being shielded from legitimate criticism is a privilege. But as a group, they’re missing out on much needed feedback.”

This tweet while technically true in some cases, seems intentionally inflammatory without further clarification.

To prove the notion of black privilege is ridiculous, let's fire a White guy for saying something a black guy would be promoted for.
