I can't even imagine the type of arrogance it takes to make these statements. For starters, all Barack Obama ever thinks about is Barack Obama and his "legacy". Second, he's so drunk with power that he doesn't even realize he will have no power to do anything about Donald Trump's policies.

"President Barack Obama used the final weekly address of his presidency to ensure the American people that despite leaving the White House in less than three weeks, he will remain vigilant of President-elect Donald Trump over the next four years to ensure the “progress” made by his administration is not undone under Trump."

Watch: Obama has no plans to leave your life after he vacates the White House on Jan. 20

The difference between ultimate arrogance (above) and humility (below):

CALGARY, Alberta - Former President George W. Bush, making his first public speech since leaving office in January, says he wants Barack Obama to succeed and that it's "essential" to support the new leader.

Bush declined to critique the Obama administration in Tuesday's speech, saying the new president has enough critics and that he "deserves my silence."

Bush: President Obama 'deserves my silence'

Perhaps Obama didn't notice that when he was campaigning for Clinton, no one paid any attention to him, not even African Americans who did not turn out in large numbers as he had urged them to.

The desperation of this worthless prick attempting to make himself relevant is pathetic. He had eight years and pissed them away being a self absorbed asshole. He will spend the next three weeks doing just that with more bravado. As if anyone fucking cares. His legacy is as dead as his ability to be a leader. He wanted to lead from behind, well those kinds of leaders are named Chamberlin, Carter and now obie. The worst of the worst.

He and the other Dems need to get it through their heads that the majority of states rejected Obama's "progress" and that is why Hillary lost.

He had shown no class at all since the election.

Oooh, sounds like the America-hating cheeto worshippers have a raging sandstorm in their panties.

Orange Jebus can't have his scorched earth. Deal with it.

Stripping Obama of all his power...possibly the best Jan 20th ever :eusa_dance:

Secret Service: President Trump that idiot is at the gate again demanding to be let into the White House.

President Trump: Tell Obama to get lost.

It should be a law that all former presidents must fade away never to be seen or heard from again

Well, since the people DID vote for Obama and DIDN'T vote for Trump, that seems reasonable.

But, hey, if Trump really wants to hand over the Ukraine to Russia, we should all point out that the Russians bought his election to start with.

Given how bad Chimpy fucked up....well, everything... silence was the best course for him.

People voted for Obama because he was black. True Americans voted for Trump, because we wanted a true leader back in the white house, and not a queer or lesbian.

Obama will prove he is classless when he whines about his failed presidency for the next four years.

Actually, he'll spend the next four years pointing out how badly Trumpenfuhrer is screwing the rest of us.
And his opinion will be unasked for and meaningless

He like all former presidents needs to fade away and collect his lifelong pension for a measly 8 year long job and shut the fuck up

Guy, if Trump does a great job, Obama will have nothing to say.

If Trump fucks it up (and he will), then what Obama says about it will be the least of our problems.

President George W. Bush is great, isn't he? Remember when he told us that the world would soon hear him and the fireman was beside him? Great wasn't he? And when he flew a fighter jet onto a carrier and said, "Mission Accomplished"? That was super. And when he ducked so that an Arab's shoe missed him. Remember that? Great.
