Yes.... the Intellectually Less Fortunate are prone to use words which they must define down to meaningless, for the word to be even relevant to their point. For instance for a liberal to be counted as an American, the word needs to be defined down to geographic terms, wherein being present in the Americas, provides that one is an "American". Of course, there's no potential point of pride in where one happens to be located, so they use the word on the minimal qualification, implying the actual meaning.
