Unemployment Numbers Released - Post Pandemic High Unemployment & Downward Revisions

Your statement wasn't clear.

You left out an adjective before "9 months". I thought you meant first, but you meant last.
Yeah, you're right. My bad.

In the first 9 months of the Trump administration, they've added something like 400,000 private sector jobs. In the last 9 months of the Biden administration, they added something like 2 million private sector jobs.

There, fixed it.

The point remains.

On the whole, the data shows that the economy was stronger in 2024 than in 2025, but I'm open to discussion about which statistics should be considered the most.

BIdens job numbers were revised down
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released its preliminary annual benchmark review of employment data for March 2024. BLS found that there were 818,000 fewer jobs than previously reported.

Thanks to cuts in other places we have more money to spend in those areas

What about the cuts to those places?

15% of the staff at SSA gone with more people on SS than ever.

The VA said they are going to get rid of 35,000 medical staff positions this month.

How is that spending more money in those areas

“GSA employees are also scrambling to find office space to accommodate a surge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity in cities across the country after DOGE pushed for the firings and termination of a sizable chunk of federal leases.

Even as the administration is recruiting 10,000 new ICE officers, President Trump’s push for increased immigration enforcement has been undercut by increased firing of immigration judges, with the Justice Department’s Executive Office for Immigration Review losing more than 125 judges since the start of the year, down from about 700, due to firings and voluntary resignations.”

I want to spend less money on unneeded Federal workers and use the money for ICE and homeland security

Losing those immigration clerks, aka “judges” will result in fewer Maryland Men like Garcia being allowed to stay in the US

We need to fire more “judges”

The job reports under Biden were all exaggerated
I'm not going off of the reports. I'm going off the revised data.

Even with the downward revisions, Biden's jobs record for the last 9 months of his administration is considerably better than the first 9 months of the Trump administration.

You would not want to give anyone due process, that just would not do in the US today.

Trump had that before china hit us with covid and dems shut down the economy

And I we are doing better than the numbers suggest now
You saw the graph. i'll put it up again. Trump coasted for a year and a half and you can see the degradation BEFORE covid when his policies took root. Explain it genius.

2.96 in Idaho
3.60 in Alaska

No one cares what you think or want. Since Trump didnt legislate any of this it will be gone with his administration. Just like last time. Poof.

Trump inherited a 1.6% falling GDP from Obama. It takes a year to implement new policies. After the tax cuts the economy took off. Obamas economy was based on printing money called quantitative easing. He overregulated the economy and it was heading to a recession

Illegals get due process before they are deported

What libs want is endless appeals and delays, for years is they can keep it up that long

Nice try Skippy

But all those agencies have seen serious cutbacks by Trump

Why would you celebrate highly skilled, highly paid people having to take low skilled, low pay jobs?

That's not a victory.
Thats life

Being highly skilled at shuffling paperwork from the end box to the out box produces nothing of value

Obama has not been the President for almost 9 years and you are still blaming him for Trump's failures.

That is just pathetic. Have you no dignity at all?

It does when what they are shuffling is your tax return, request for Social Security or Veterans Benefits

By the very judges you want to get rid of.

You cannot have it both ways.
If ICE can determine that a person is here illegally thats all the due process they are entitled to

But most have had some encounter with the system before trump found them

Catch and release with a notice to appear that they never showed up for is now their ticket back to their home country

That's a bad economy.

Most of our economic growth is owed to these high skill, high wage workers. You're attacking the people who keep this country vibrant.
