Unemployed need not apply

The government regulation of our money supply is all the evidence i need to assert socialism in our markets?

100% stupid as always if govt regulation /socialism of money supply in 1929 is socialism then you cant claim there was capitalism in 1929.

Feel stupid and liberal now?

You are the one claiming it; i don't mind "holding the goal posts" to 1929 for the sake of argument. That form of (post 1929) Public Sector Intervention in private sector markets is still with us, just socialism "hard at work" bailing out Capitalism, so You don't have to--isn't it wonderful to have recourse to an official Mint and the Peoples' money.

you said socialism bailed out capitalism in 1929 then you admitted that there was no capitalism in 1929 when I taught you how the Fed, not capitalism, caused the Depression.

Isn't learning fun?
yes, socialism bailed out capitalism in 1929 and left no doubt as to who is the Boss of the relationship in our mixed-market economy; now, do you understand, dear?

yes, socialism bailed out capitalism in 1929

100% stupid since govt regulation caused Great Depression and the lessons learned prevented the recent crash from turning into another depression.

You might say bad socialist regulation caused the Great Depression and good socialist regulation prevented a recent depression despite causing the housing crash.

Way over your head I'm sure.

i believe you are missing the point about "regulation" of artificial money that the private sector can create faster and easier than Congress, except Congress has recourse to the Peoples' Mint under our form of Capitalism; dear.

Republicans like to blame all the unemployed on Obama but they don't ask the corporations they serve to stop the practice of not hiring people who are out of work.

Corporations are being really picky. I think they like unemployment high. It keeps wages down. I remember an article years ago explaining that's what Greenspan said it was his responsibility to keep wages low they need unemployment to be high but not too high.
Wages and employment are being kept down because employers are being strangled by the cost of Obamacare. Ever think of that?

That's a good point. All I see now when I look for work is

1. Part-time jobs
2. Low paying jobs

yep, we could have 40 million new jobs tomorrow with upward pressure on wages if liberals would ship the illegals home and eliminate the corporate tax!!

Curious

1 do you have a degree, what in and do you have any experience?

2. If the economy is getting better, and the numbers show it is, then companies are hiring. They are in my area. But the employers are being very picky. You really have to wow them.

I tend to agree with you it's still an employers market. Especially with unions and collective bargaining going away. Prepare to make less next generation. Add to that the $80k student loan you'll have to pay off in order to be exceptional. And more co pays than our parents had. Add all this up the next generation just took a huge step backward. But they don't vote so f em. Seriously.

Most places only hire the ways below

1. From employee referrals

I depends on the industry. Trucking jobs are in demand, in home health care is in demand. The issue is they don't pay. You can make good money trucking but man, gone all the time, lots of federal involvement.

Same in health care, I am surprised at how low they pay, you are taking care of people, I would think that is of value.

Yes employment is ripe for hiring. But qualified people are scarce. Driving from Ft Worth to El Paso Friday, I saw dozens of signs in the oil fields wanting crude drivers, rig workers and other jobs. Starting salaries from 55K to 85K and this is going on all over Texas.

Why type of work are you looking for? When I see a comment like this I always wonder how someone gets a broad survey, like what do you go to monster.com and just search all?

There are about 1.6 million more employed people than there were a year ago, so no I didn't think much about employment being kept down.

Yes most people get a job from help from someone they know. It's why blacks are at a disadvantage.

Ford only hires employee referrals. You only get 1 at a time and that person could wait years.

Sad thing is, how many of those 1.6 million don't have insurance at work?
