The biggest increase when it comes to trust in government was registered among GOP voters younger than 50, with 52 percent stating they have faith in government. Last year, that figure was at 28 percent.

The survey was conducted from March 31 to April 6 among 800 U.S. adults. The margin of error was 3.5 percentage points.

800 people?

But there was no corresponding decrease from the dems. Their trust in the government didn't change much under Trump than under Biden, hence how the overall numbers changed.

In the old days I was a true independent who voted a mix of democrats, republicans, independents, 3rd parties, and even write ins. The democrat party has moved so far to the left and have become so extreme and so totally bonkers whacko, there is almost no one left in the party I would vote for.

This was my first concern when he got elected. After years of people getting their eyes opened, they are closing again.
Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden, slowly but surely people were growing aware of just what an evil this or any government is. In this second term they are becoming comfortable with the leviathan again even thought the beast remains. Gone silent are the voices of secession and national divorce. Starting from scratch to bring back dissonance is going to be a *****.
