In another linked article Mercy is announcing that it is hiring 2,000 new employees.

Did Mercy announce layoff's - yes.

Did Mercy blame the A.C.A. -Yes.

Mercy sited declining payouts under the A.C.A, did Mercy provide proof to support this claim...NO.

Has Mercy used A.C.A. as a scape goat in the past regarding employee layoff's-YES.

But so have Blue Cross/Blue Shield. In California Insurance Commissioner David Jones challenged those claims and was proven correct.

Given the Conservative Politics of Times Record and it's using breitbart as a source for the story, it remains doubtful at best Mercy is telling the truth.

As to executive compensation. The CEO of Mercy has continued to high salaries even as payouts were reduced. Profit will always take priority.
