U.N. Confirms It Will Intervene in Detroit

Apparently the UN is threatening to intervene in Detroit and force it's inhabitants to be provided water even if they don't or can't pay for it.

Detroit is a microcosm of the liberal path. Destroy the city and hope for a federal and/or international takeover.

Is everyone okay with that? Do you think that a $35 million fine is a fitting punishment for a corporation that profited billions while knowingly killing Americans by refusing to fix a very simple defect in their cars for almost a decade?

$22.5 million will pay off all those delinquent Detroit water accounts. That is easily covered by that $35 million fine.

The big question is why did the US Treasury sell GM stock at a $11.2 billion loss to tax payers? As owners they could have made changes that matter & got our bailout tax money paid back.

During the "Great Depression" of 1929-1941 caused by Wallstreet & the Fed, a large percent of the population had their water turned off. They ran hoses & filled buckets from their neighbors houses. The citizens & workers are not the ones who ran the economy into the ground. It was the government & corporations that have been living on bailouts for the last 30 years. A water bailout for a few years will cost less one wallstreet CEO steals from tax payers.

Wagoner ran GM into the ground, losing $100 billion during the 17 years he was a corporate officer, 10 of which he was the CEO who packed the board with high paid yes men. For that he was paid $15 million a year plus who knows how much thr rest of the entitled corporate drones stole. Inferior design made the their cars only worth half the price of a Japanese import. The UAW labor cost was only $500 a car more than Japanese cars, which was much less than the cost to ship a car here from overseas. But Corporates inferior design made GM cars worth $5,000 less to buyers. Corporate America screwed Detroit 10 times worse than the UAW, but Republicans will forever claim it was all the UAW.

1984: The Reagan administration Continental Illinois remains the "most significant bank failure resolution in the history of the FDIC, costing US $1.1 billion. This was the bailout that bequeathed the catchphrase "Too Big Too Fail."

1989: The first Bush administration bailed out the savings-and-loan industry at a cost to the taxpayer equivalent to $220 billion in 2008 dollars.

2001: After 9/11, the second Bush administration lent the airline industry $10 billion and gave it $5 billion outright. Then Bush spent $12 trillion bailing out Wallstreet of which the Fed is still $2.2 trillion in the hole.
