Ukraine could be characterized as a fake country, created by Nikita Khrushchev to add a vote for the USSR in the United Nations. Like "Palestine" it did not even exist 80 years ago.

But don't forget, Ukraine was one of the most corrupt countries on the planet BEFORE the Russian invasion, and there is no reason to suppose that they "found religion" in the months since that infamous day. The amount of fraud, graft, and corruption that will be uncovered over the next couple years will be astounding. Billions and billions in Swiss bank accounts, etc. But fortunes will be made in rebuilding the country and we have a President who is likely to see that the U.S. is in the thick of it.

Why should the US be involved with rebuilding a foreign country? Why do you think Putin is "Crazy"? If he was "Crazy", he wouldn't have been in power for over 20 years. He has to be doing something right to be in power for 20 years, right in the context that he knows how to run his country. That just isn't true, i suppose you have some actual evidence he kills opposition people? we know Zelenskey had Gonzalo Lira killed, the Media is more diverse than here in the UK, the BBC and other Western Media are still working in Russia but no Russian media is allowed in my Country, go figure.

If you actually tried to understand his motivations, etc on a deeper level you might understand why he is doing what he is doing. If you wish to defeat your enemy, you must know your enemy. Here you don't even know him. You water him down to some cartoon villain of the week because he is doing something you don't like.
