We must all realize that the Ukraine used to be a part of Russia. This country has no strategic value to the United States.
All this hysteria about Russia invading Ukraine is a bit absurd. There are more dire global issues at stake in the world today. Your thoughts.

It was part of the USSR, not Russia.

yes, it certainly has strategic importance based on its locations…but moreover, we shouldn’t stand by and allow one country to invade and conquer another…especially one we agreed to help protect in exchange for giving up its nuclear weapons after it gained its independence after socialism failed

Alaska used to belong to Russia. Are you proposing we give Alaska to Putin?

The idea has been making the rounds in Russia for many years now and is popular with some Russians:

"Last year, Russian TV released a documentary entitled When Will Alaska Become Ours?”—arguing that, because Russia received only a meager portion of the promised $7.2 million for Alaska, the deal must be declared null and void."

Wrong. Ukraine used to be part of the Soviet Union.

So you see no strategic disadvantage having permanent Russian military assets in the largest country in Europe?

You're a real global strategic genius aren't you?

Enlist and fight or shut up bitch.

Alaska was purchased. Ukranie has no strategic value to the United States. It should not be getting this much international press.
maybe if Putin offered to buy it instead of taking it over by force it wouldn’t…but the Russians invading eastern europe is a big deal…everytime they’ve done it before it’s lead to a lot of dead people

The idea that Russia owns Alaska is popular in some parts of Russia - and we obviously didn't pay what we promised to Russia.

Please feel free to send them a check at the end of the month with your heartfelt apologies.

The Permastate wants World War Three, and thought they'd get it under Clinton.

With the Democrats little more than Nazis desperate to remain in power, the Permastate wet dream of war may well now come true.

Ukraine is the maguffin.

How about:

Poland, Germany, Chech Republic, Slovakia,

And now that Russia has reclaimed all that used to be part of the USSR...

What about those territories formerly claimed by Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Spain...

Follow the premise to its logical conclusion.

You can kiss Putin's ass all you want. As for me, I wouldn't give him shit - not the Ukraine and not Alaska.

.
Communist dictatorships are for expanding their borders all over the world. Its a part of their Marxist ideology, and propaganda.
