I did, and don't see a parallel, as by the time the next presidential election came, the war was virtually over.


In order to repel the aggressor and protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, martial law was imposed in Ukraine by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 64/2022 as of 24 February 2022.

Their war is still going on more than ever.

FYI: The war started in 2014 after the bloody coup that removed the legitimate democratically elected government of Ukraine. The people in Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk seceded from Ukraine after the coup and haven't voted any Ukrainian elections since then.

Secod, changing captains in the middle of the game is never a good idea. Add that to there being a substantial portion of the voters in the middle of a war and unable to vote along with all the resources that they already don't have enough of but would be used up in this nonsense potentially causing more casualties I'd say this is pretty much a non starter anywhere, not just Ukraine.
