For Aldenberg to receive compensation from Jones because he was “hurt by Jones’ claims” sets a horrible precedent against free speech. Cops across the country are called far worse than “crisis actor” by people every day. There is absolutely zero justification for awarding him that kind of money, or really any money at all. Aldenberg did not have his career affected. He did not lose money as a result of Jones’ accusations. He did not have to seek expensive psychological treatments or do things that harmed himself or others. He got his feelings hurt and that’s somehow worth a $90 million jackpot.

let's review what Jones did. He claimed that Sandy Hook didn't happen and the parents involved were Crisis Actors, the FBI lied about the event. This lead to the parents and investigating officers being harassed by people like Dale Smith who bought the lies wholeheartedly.

As I noted in my opening on yesterday’s episode of The JD Rucker Show, this show trial was not about what Alex Jones said but who he is and what he represents. By slapping him with this outrageous verdict and including a former law enforcement officer on the beneficiary list, we are being told that going against the mainstream narrative is anathema. We are being told that we will be punished for speaking out whether we’re right or not.

No, we are being told that you can't make outrageous claims against people without evidence. It's why we have libel and slander laws. The mainstream media is far from perfect, but they have limits on what they can do because they can be sued for libel and have actual assets to go after.

The problem is any idiot with a podcast or a YouTube channel is now considered just as credible a new organization with hundreds of journalists, investigative reporters and fact checkers.

The reason why Jones is being held accountable is that the plaintiffs were able to prove he KNEW HE WAS LYING about Sandy Hook, but was pandering to an audience of loons like our boy Dale.

The first amendment does not, nor ever did protect you from spreading lies about people. It will get you sued, and if guilty of if, you will lose a bundle.
