UCLA study found the 2 Cali Wildfires in 2020 wiped out 18 years of carbon reduction in the State. How much air pollution from the Palisades fire?

CA should use sea water to spray down the mountain sides to limit vegetation growth.
Bulldoze the tops flat first.

I don't have to guess, because the palisades fire literally proves my point. You've unwittingly agreed with me. Thank you.
Right, you cllaim that fire breaks would not work yet the Pacific Palisades fire had no fire breaks. Now that the fire burnt everything to the ground do you figure Santa Monica will catch on fire next?

The fire will now rage across burnt ground, right.

Why are you assuming there were no fire breaks when California has invested nearly 3 billion in wildfire prevention? See post #16. You don't know what you're talking about. Fire breaks are not some magical solution either way.

Why are you assuming that money went to fire breaks? That is a better question.
Why are you assuming I am assuming is another great question.
Fire breaks are not magical, but they are a solution.

Assuming ...
I live in California. 34 years in a row since 1981. Last 10 in Connecticut. I moved back to Los Angeles in October.

Fire breaks. I seen them built on camp pendleton, nowhere else though. We used to get our news from paper. Newspapers, I remember many lawsuits against fire breaks.

But seeing is believing. I never seen fire breaks along roads or anywhere near housing.

So there it is, I am a physical witness that can testify as to the history of what I see and learned for 40 years.

Hey, I got a great idea. If only someone made something that could take satellite images that shows a picture of the area before it burned you could prove you are right, not!

Ever here of Google earth?

Silly people who don't know what they are talking think they do. Crazy how many people here act like a link proves they are right.
Krichton's link in no way shows fire breaks were made or the don't work.

How about picture from space
Krichton. It feels good to say, you don't know what they hell you are talking about. I imagine you won't reply with a comment such as, "sorry I was wrong"

Fire breaks are not magical, but they are a solution.

I'm assuming you're assuming because that's precisely what you're doing. The California wildfire taskforce was created for the job you're assuming never happens, as part of the state's wildfire prevention measures. In just the last year 325k acres have been treated in controlled burns. They also deploy other measures, but this is one of their jobs. Facts are your friend. I hope I answered your question.

Correct, silly people have a tendency to do that. They also have a tendency to post pictures to google earth and then pretend they're experts and know what they're talking about.

Show us the controlled burns and fire breaks around Los Angeles. I used Google earth to show you are full of shit.
