CDZ U.S. Trade Deal With Japan

I wonder how much meat the 126 million people eat? A lot less than 1.4 billion.

What is the deal?

Selling our wheat, grain, corn, etc to Japan. Blowing up on Fox currently.

We didn't do that before?
It's still not enough people to replace China, but it's a start, I guess.
Question: Why do we need a "deal" to trade with a country? What's in a "deal" that isn't there when a company sells to a foreign buyer?

Without knowing details…in the past what diplomats could do is favor nations over others. Meaning that the importers in Japan would steer their buying to the US because we’d give them “most favored nation” status. With this current blob…who knows what the details of the deal may be if there is even a deal in place. One would like to think that this would have been negotiated before the trade war began so it would be in place when we were in a position of strength and not utter weakness/stupidity. Doing it now when Japan knows our crops are rotting in the field means they have the advantage.

I’m sure someone will be by in a moment to tell me I’m wrong. I hope so. I need a good laugh.

Your feelings are still hurt [emoji20] that Donnie won in the first place. He’s looking out for us, and giving the[emoji867]to China.

Thanks for the comedic relief. I see you’re fulfilling your destiny

It’s a little more involved than you making deals selling your crafts on eBay.

Well, as I said past week: President Trump is working on a trade agreement with Japan and here it is!
This is very big!
Best of all, it's mutual beneficial, since Japan is facing great challenges in it's agricultural industry (labor shortage and traditionally high prices due to the scarcity of available farming land) and bringing in US produce just makes sense....the EU has always been a fucking protective shit show, but Japan is really the way to go.

Have a look at food prices in Japan and you see, where PM Abe could really shine:

Food Price in Japan

I mean, one apple for $2.50 is ridiculous yet Japanese have lived with that for decades...no wonder they only have 0.5 kids or so....can't afford to feed a whole child on that...anyways, I think Abe is ready to open the gates in order to end this stupid practice and get the consumers in Japan the break they need

YEP the dems and repubes have turned us into a totalitarian state,,,

Did it make up for the loses when Captain Bonespurs pulled out of the TPP?

1.3 billion btw....most of them are piss poor and can't afford any beef...that's why they usually eat anything, that crawls and can't get away...and is LOCAL!

The only class of people in China, which is attractive as market, are the people in the big coastal cities...the (small) middle class...Japanese have far more buying power than Chinese....

No wonder the left can't run an economy without socialist full control....they just don't even know the basics #AOCeconomy

The Japanese have obviously agreed not to subject the American agricultural product to national price protections.

Which means food prices will drop for them and us as well..

We have excess corn in various parts of our country ... and Prime Minister Abe on behalf of Japan they’re going to be buying all of that corn,” Trump added.

"Abe said Japanese farmers have been struggling with “insect pests” on some of their own agricultural products, “and we believe that there is a need for us to implement emergency support measures for the Japanese private sector to have the early purchase of the American corn.”

U.S. and Japan strike trade deal ‘in principle’

You're disrespect is dully noted...all I see is a president who is doing more for the American people than one guy with an assault rifle in Vietnam could ever do....so, stuff it.

Yes, Japan is a bigger and better market for agricultural products than China ever will be...
I saw that... this means the corn belt, Michigan, Ohio, Nebraska, Illinois, and other states will get a big boost immediately with their corn products... The Dims will now lose these states in the next election as Trump fought for their local economies.

What pills are you on? trade deals are in place now, allowing China to export shit tariff free until Trump stepped in....NAFTA was a free trade agreement...all horse shit.

What the fuck do you call "free trade"?
its when the government doesnt set the rules for trade of private companies,,,
what we have is a light fascism

Partisanship is the lens through which everything must be viewed for some.

What I find specially intriguing about it is, that Abe is really going ahead with his plan to radically re-structure the Japanese economy.
Given the fact, that this deal basically breaks with decades long protectionism which rooted in national pride, gives a clear indication that Japan is finally waking up to the facts of the 21 century. I belief we see the start of the re-alignment of trade between Japan and the US and it is good to see just how ell everything clicks in place for both parties
