A person violating a country’s immigration laws is not supposed to be there. If I am in Mexico illegally and I murder someone, how do you think the community is going to react when they find out the murderer wasn’t even permitted to be in the country in the first place compared to being murdered by a fellow Mexican citizen?
Look at the reaction people in the US when a person is out on parole and rapes or murders someone? They get even more angry because in hindsight, they should not have been paroled. But, they are a US citizen and/or here legally so they should be here.
Crimes by non-citizens here illegally are the most senseless because they were not supposed to be here in the first place. Had someone done there job, no crime.
