Is Trump is playing 3D chess against Canada? Police agencies here are really good at manufacturing threats and then "solving them". Really good at bullying people. Not good at allowing the best and brightest to thrive in Canada, to contribute and innovate. Instead, them and their kids engage in a police kakistocracy.

They cannot handle being bullied back. This is probably designed to force auto manufacturers to move to the U.S from Canada and Mexico which is why Trump wisely completed a trade agreement with Japan first. This applies pressure to shift work to U.S manufacturing factories.

Now Trump is not in a rush to make a deal with Canada. Our Police State has failed us, yet again.

The United States may not reach a negotiated trade deal with Canada, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday, suggesting his administration could set a tariff rate unilaterally.

Trump, speaking to reporters as he left the White House for a trip to Scotland, said: "We haven't really had a lot of luck with Canada. I think Canada could be one where there's just a tariff, not really a negotiation."
