Two Federal District Court Judges order a hold on SNAP cutoff

A federal judge in Rhode Island on Friday afternoon blocked the Trump administration from suspending all food aid for millions of Americans amid the ongoing government shutdown, in a case brought by a group of US cities, nonprofit organizations and a trade union.

And at almost the same time, in a separate but similar case, a federal judge in Massachusetts ruled that the government must continue to fund the program that helps low-income households stave off food insecurity, in a case brought by the Democratic attorneys general from 22 states and the District of Columbia and three governors who sued the administration.

Well, now that two district court judges said it I guess it will be ignored twice as hard.

Slapped down in 3, 2, 1.
Did these two judges also tell Trump how he can appropriate spending on a program which has run out of funding?

Breaking News: The judges have been overruled by “tahuyama”, a message board judge from the USMB circuit.
The fact is that the contingency money is there in the event of an emergency. That would be a tornado, earthquake, flooding or a hurricane. A government shutdown and a program running out of funding isn’t an emergency.

The funding can easily be restored by Senate Democrats voting in favor over the CR which was already passed by the House of Representatives.

A left wing activist judge can’t change that. These two federal judges need to read the U.S. constitution. It’s pretty clear.

The two judges who say Trump must keep paying SNAP benefits have no authority to demand of Trump what they have. If anything, the two subjugating Judges of our Constitution need to direct their demands to Congress, considering Congress is exclusively vested with power to legislate.

What these judges have done brings to mind Federalist Paper No 47:

"The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny." _ Madison, Federalist Paper No. 47

"The Constitution is the act of the people, speaking in their original character, and defining the permanent conditions of the social alliance; and there can be no doubt on the point with us, that every act of the legislative power contrary to the true intent and meaning of the Constitution, is absolutely null and void. ___ Chancellor James Kent, in his Commentaries on American Law , 1858.

Maybe the judges can order Congress to re-convene and pass a law on this topic.

Hell, they already seem to think that they’re the Executive Branch. Why not the Legislative Branch, too?

The Trump administration responded brilliantly. Ok judge, tell us how we can legally violate the law?
That makes no sense. A violation of the law is not legal.
Silence is your best friend, buddy. You’re digging a bigger hole for yourself.

It makes perfect sense. The Trump administration was ordered by a judge to violate the law. Seeing that’s the case, the judge needs to tell them how they can legally violate the law.

Oh yeah. I forgot you lied about the
Food and Nutrition Act (FNA) saying anything about natural disasters being the only events that would count as an emergency.
Then I asked you to quote the law and you’ve been dodging since.

I said emergencies. An emergency would be a natural disaster or something not created by partisan politics.

A government shut down is not an emergency. It’s politically motivated partisan stunt. Idiot.
