I do 10's on the Epiphone hollow body, but really like 9's on the LP. Bend it till the G is off the fret board. :)
You can do that tuned to drop d standard
the trem is a bitch to level out but after that- both my ESP's stayed in tune better than anything. (side-note Paul Gilbert plays 9's a lot too w/o a FR now usually) )

Being an old Queensryche fan I've always wondered what the hell happened to Chris DeGarma and also I never thought anyone could replace Geoff Tate. But I'd say Todd LeTorre pulls it off....
They need Mike Portnoy ( no offense Scott)
Same way Marty Friedman thought he couldn't be replaced.

Seems like a lot of work choosing enough songs to fill an hour. I'll take the easy route and cover a few Moonsorrow whos songs all average around 20 minutes long.

Really, your biggest limitation is how well the vocalist can perform. To be versatile enough to play Yes or Heart, and then Bob Seger or Steely Dan....you pretty much need more than one singer.

Another question ...Are the expensive strings ($25and up) with special coatings worth it ? I got some $10 D'Addario's 10 - 46 guage.
They are unless you break them. I use Elixir bass strings. Change them every 6 months instead of once a month.
