Twitter Deletes Donald Trump!

Typical of fascists, shut down the voice of opposition through any means available.

Then the bed wetting libturds like to play victim when people get sick of their bullshit.
Uhh..you're saying that the President of the United states..is the voice of opposition? Trump is the Bull Gater...happily settled in the mud of the swamp. He is not the voice of the opposition..he is the embodiment of the establishment.

1. He is the opposition of lefty censors like the twitter asshole.

2. And he is still an outsider to the political class, despite being in the White House.

CENSOR? is that why he wants to strengthen libel laws against the free press & dissolve the protected source shield the free press possess'?

1. Yes, censor. THe lefty shut down his speech and you lefties love it.

2. SOmething has to be done to reign in the vile media. Some type of accountability for their vile lies and political corruption.

That you can't imagine any distinction between complete shutdown and some accountability is because you know that massive constant lying is the only way to advance the horrible lefty agenda.

You sure make a lot of hay..from 1 disgruntled Twitter employee. We have 'accountability' they're called Slander and Libel. Anyone who feels wronged by the press..as in lied about or grossly misrepresented..is free to sue. Do you wonder why Trump has not availed himself of this avenue? Why, in fact, most of the people who have been 'wronged' have not availed themselves? All this clammer about false news..lies, etc., and yet, where are the lawsuits?
Yes, the media has gone overboard..in their constant attempt to win ratings and sell products. But any thinking person can sort wheat from chaff--and with the internet and access to the direct news-feeds..there is no reason why one would even view the media outlets.

I dunno about the 'horrible lefty agenda' I suspect it is mostly in the head of alt/right folks who wish to advance THEIR 'horrible agenda'.

I don't give a hoot about the extremists in either party...or even those extremists in no party.
I think it is time for the tail to stop wagging the dog.

The twitter ban is not occurring in a vacuum. Wake up.

A lot of Trump fans disagree:

One year later, Trump voters blame the president's tweets for his troubles

"A striking two-thirds of his supporters express at least some concern about the president’s tendency to punch and counterpunch, especially on Twitter. In response to an open-ended question to name the “worst thing” Trump has done, more than half cite aspects of his personal behavior.

“He creates too many distractions, which weakens any momentum in policy and legislation,” says Ken Cornacchione, a financial consultant from Venice, Florida."

Painting everyone on the Left with the 'ANTIFA' brush..takes a lot of credibility from your post..IMO.

Also, what Twitter ban? A disgruntled ex-employee took trump's personal account down for 11 minutes---what ban?

I would point out that Twitter is private company..and the rules of free speech..do not apply..just like this forum..you have no 'right' to tweet.

1. The Left is generally in support of Antifa, and/or other methods of suppressing speech. Pretending otherwise is dishonest, even if it lets you pretend to be more reasonable and above it all, and evolved.

2. I'm sure the employee, and the libs chuckling over it, considered it an nice symbolic move, even if it was only 11 minutes.

3. Twitter is a publicly traded stock. THe people running it have an ethical and professional responsibility to maximize profits for their share holders, not play partisan politics. Picking a war with half the nation, not a profitable move.

3) You are not half the nation....you are about 36%--if and when Twitter profits drop...then you might have a point. But it is up to the shareholders to make that point. I don't think it will come to that.

As I pointed out in an earlier post..which you dismissed, of course, a lot of Trump supporters wish he would shut the F up..and govern. His Twitter use in particular drew criticism. These are Trump voters..who say they will vote for Trump again. So, somehow I doubt that any great movement against Twitter will develop.

1. The support of speech suppression by the left is not a mater of opinion. Pretending an equivalence that does not exist does not make you intellectually superior.

2. And the left has the Main Stream Media, and Hollywood and Education from top to bottom. Your easy acceptance of censorship does not make you cool or edgy.

3. NOthing in our post addressed my point that the people running it have an ethical and professional responsibility to their shareholders. "Not dropping" is not their job. Neither is poking the president who got approximately HALF the votes.

Thank you for the civil debate..a rare thing here.

1. I disagree. You are stating what you believe to be a matter of fact..and I believe to be nothing but spin. The 'left' is not all one thing..nor is the right. Were I to say that all Rightists are racists..I would be incorrect. The same logic applies. I see no false equivalency--I see tails wagging dogs..and a lot of false narratives.

2. Again, you make some blanket statements that you present as fact..and I don't believe to be facts. That the MSM is left leaning editorially--I can buy... and I sure think that some organizations go overboard....but there are plenty of Right leaning organizations out there as well..Fox..Breitbart..infowars..ZeroHedge..and the entirety of Talk Radio. So, from top to bottom is a bit of an over-exaggeration, IMO. You seem to buy into this 'conspiracy theory' --that the Left controls everything..and the noble Right is just trying to get back to good ole American values. I do not buy it. What censorship? 1 disgruntled employee, remember? BTW..I suspect it would take divine intervention to make me either cool..or edgy.

3.You seem to see a Twitter approval of this act that I'm pretty does not exist. But...Twitter is private company..never mind that they are publicly traded...if the shareholders have issues..and I doubt that they do...it is up to them to deal with it.

IMO..this is NOT a free speech issue--Twitter could close Trump's account tomorrow..and they would be within their rights. Just as this forum could terminate our accounts..without reason given. The same logic applies.

As an aside..in the article I posted..which you chose to ignore...it's pretty clear that if Twitter ended Trump's account..about two thirds of his supporters would breath a quiet sigh of relief.

You're welcome.

1. Antifa is an organization of thugs that use violence to suppress speech it opposes. Time and time again, they threaten violence and the local liberals react by giving them what they want and/or ordering the police to stand down to let them commit violent attacks. We have discussed this on this site repeatedly and almost universally the libs here defend, deflect, minimize, claim false equivalences, ect.

2. It's not a conspiracy. IT's an ideology that has demonized it's enemies to the point that unethical and unprofessinal behavior is now considered moral behavior. And the leftist dominated media and pop culture and education vastly dwarf the other side.

3. When the last time some thing like this happened to a major lefty? I can't recall it ever happening.

It is, however, on topic.

1) So you say...I say different...so what? I'm not a Leftist..even though the alt/right folks never lose an opportunity to paint me as one. Just because someone thinks Trump is an incompetent ass..does not put them on the left. I'm issue driven..and I despise the extremists in both parties..as I've said...time and time again.

2) I'm not a lib..and I chuckled over it..and still am. Trump has the bully pulpit..and can be heard any time he wishes--and as we know..he wishes a lot.

1. I categorically and completely denounce ANTIFA. Nothing on the Right excuses or minimizes their behavior. I believe that ideas and concepts, even ones I find abhorrent, rise and fall on their merits..not on the crowds favor/disfavor. I especially despise ANTIFA because they are a cover..for the far more dangerous Anarchists..Black Block and the like..whose goals are the destruction of Statist institutions by any means possible. It may surprise you that there are those on the left who agree with me. I would put to you that those who talk sense..are not really being heard..regardless of their political/cultural leanings. I note that balanced, nuanced points of view..are ignored or mocked here..quite often..while the wild and unsupported polemic..garners tons of 'likes'.

2. My view..is that the public media is on it's way out...and all the screaming and wiggling..is its death throes. I don't watch any mainstream news at all. I view article, links etc. that my news aggregate comes up with. Making sense of the world is increasingly a matter of being able to sort wheat from chaff--many use this to cherry pick what supports their preconceptions..some use it to find some semblance of the 'truth'. It's hard work sometimes..and I fear most would rather be spoon fed their prejudices..one sickly-sweet spoonful at a time. This goes for the left and the right.
Yes..the cultural paradigm is changing with the demographics...it is inevitable..and a lot of what you may call 'left' leaning cultural standards..may well become the norm. Not much anyone can really do about it--the old guard is dying off..and the new blood..is taking over.

3. Hell..I have a hard time coming up with a major lefty..lol! Clinton..Obama..have been trolled by the right more than once..but, lets face it..Trump is THE polarizing figure of our time. The fact that we are having this discussion..sparked by 11 minutes of dead Twitter time...proves this.

1. I am not surprised that there are those on the left that do not support antifa. I'm well aware. I am also well aware that they are in the distinct minority. THe vast majority of the left give various degrees of support, with varying degrees of deniability.

2. The "Old Guard" is not "dying off". That type of talk just reveals the desire of the Left to marginalize any and all who disagree with them. The media, hollywood, education, everywhere liberals gain any significant authority or power, they abuse it to advance their agenda.

3. Trolling? I asked about their accounts or method of communication being shut down. YOu can't come up with one, because these supposedly meaningless and/or random events, just seem to happen to one side.

3b The people that build taboos so rigid and confining that being pro-America on Trade and Immigration policy is seen as radical and hateful, are the polarizing ones, not Trump.
