Twenty Hundreds or Two Thousands

Making this topic because a comment that I read on here earlier confused me. Isn't this century the two thousands not the hundreds? Then again this would be the 200's and that wouldn't be twenty hundreds,.. so help me out here.

Twenty hundreds ARE two thousands.

They mean precisely the same thing.

Use the one that is easiest to say for you or easiest to understand for your listeners.

I say just as with the 1900s, go with the lasts two digits only. So instead of the Roaring 20s we are now in the Whining 20s. Waning 20s? Fading 20s?
