Being in another state doesn’t make you illegal. You just have to vote in your home state.

They already do. If you were a registered voter, you should have a voter registration card--which like your social security card, is not valid for identification purposes. Did you apply for FAFSA? So they either file for an absentee ballot with their state, or they use their ID to register in the state they're attending school.

WA doesn't require it, but I wouldn't blink an eye at proving I am who I say I am.
