I wonder if the Little Tovarich can give us her opinion of this. Does she think Birth Control is treason? If he wants more Turks, he can make it attractive for all those Turks in Germany to move back home with their children. Besides, the biggest problem the world is going to face in the future is the lack of food to feed the billions of people on this planet so it is really better if people didn't have a slew of kids. Perhaps Erdogan should be studying Robert Malthus who had it right even in the 18th century.

Erdogan made the comments on Sunday, directly addressing the bride and groom at the Istanbul wedding ceremony of the son of businessman Mustafa Kefeli, who is one of his close allies.
He told the newly-weds that using birth control was a betrayal of Turkey's ambition to make itself a flourishing nation with an expanding young population.
