Chicken is good, but it's nearly ubiquitous. Turkey only gets to shine a few times a year.
 
The best Turkey (not dry if possible)? Is not worth getting out of bed over.

Whats the big fascination? Because you're told to eat it? By whom?

Prime Rib is 100X more likeable.
 
I'm surprised at how many of my students say they don't eat turkey on Thanksgiving - or at all. I love me some turkey.
I like turkey, but with it just be the wife and me, no sense cooking a turkey, and having leftovers for 2 weeks.
 
We (the immediate) are a family of four, so we just got a turkey breast. I'll get up early and have at it.


Dry as cotton balls stuffed into open mouths. But enjoy because the Indians shot one for Columbus?

You would think that lobster, cod, and deer would be part of the tradition too. I don't know when the hell mac-n-cheese got in on the act.
 
15th post
I love roast turkey and the whole gastronomical thing, which varies a bit from family to family. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie, are the basics.

Can't wait.
