yes, let us be civil!Come on guys I'm trying to be civil here.
Nothing is wrong with potatoes. It is how they are 'prepared' that is the question. A lot of people put butter and milk in their mashed potatoes, and the scallop-style potatoes often have cheese.
Did you know that gelatin is made using bone marrow? They don't eat any gelatin at all.

We talk about the same things we talk about everytime we get together. The women all talk women's stuff, and the guys are usually watching the game until it's time to eat. Then afterward, it's back to catch the rest of the games.Couldn't they have mashed potatoes without milk and butter? That sounds pretty yucky to me but you could just mash the potatoes up without doing anything else if you wanted to.
Yes I did know that. I guess that leaves out Jell-O as well.
I just wonder what the discussions around your Thanksgiving dinner table tomorrow will look like. Me personally, I leave the politics out of it for a reason.
Mashed Potatoes, corn on the cob, coleslaw, biscuits and baked beans.
No I'm not but my sister is.Oh are you a vegan?
TofurkyHopefully this can be a civil discussion because I don't mean any ill will towards them whatsoever I just got legitimately curious. I mean it's hard for me personally to picture Thanksgiving without turkey, but hey, whatever floats your boat.![]()
I have had vegans at the table before. Thankfully not when I was doing part of the cooking. I do not know what they are. I didn't care. Last time it happened it was my youngest son's girlfriend.
