This could have been successful place if had better owners. At one time no black person visiting Houston didn't eat there. They could have easily opened stores in Austin and Dallas. They closed owing food places and workers thousands of dollars.

A lot of restaurants could be successful for awhile if they stiffed their suppliers out of $1.5M in supplies I suppose.
 
I wonder what their tax breaks were like what with being a "black owned business".

From what I read the whole thing smelled of grift, Mary Jane, and arson.
 
So it wasn't a turkey hut, it was a weed hut? Thats taking the side menu in a whole different direction.
