Those ancient scriptures are the very source of all that divides US and causes turmoil in our lives. The TRUTH is what GOD is but only a very few seem to know what that truth is. They falsely believe it lies within religion. Nothing could be further from the truth.After reading this thread, all I can do is pray for the nation to pay attention to what the actual truth is. Electing people who are morally irresponsible breaks the hearts of those who worked a lifetime to be true to this country, including praying for amoral people to straighten up and fly right. When my military family moved around at least once a year before high school days, America was known as a Christian country. Things have changed to accept leaders who seldom tell the truth, and others who say they believe in God, or but never open a Bible to find out about God's Kingdom, or never find that the Bible can be listened to on cd sets which explains what they are too tired to read at the end of the day. I recommend it to anyone who realize that studying the Word of God does not require academic work, because some respond to audio learning as well as those who respond to visual learning by way of traditional readings. The hundredth psalm is a good starting point. The second or third grade Sunday school teacher in our church required us to memorize Psalms 100, among others. I'll never forget the gift Mrs. White, our teacher, gave us by asking us to memorize key scriptures in both the New and the Old Testament. Her understanding of the scriptures was a blessing to all of us, and I love her to this day even though she passed away many years ago. She insisted on emphasizing truth to be key in a life lived for the good of others.
