Trusting Conservatives, and Liberals, ... Are they Right? Wrong? Or,.... Are both twisting The Truth?

Liberalism has died. It really does not exist these days as it has been replaced by woke authoritarianism.

Conservatism is only doing a tiny bit better.

I'm "Sorry", that You are "Sorry" Forkup. But, I have to disagree for several reasons.......

Even before the printing Press was invented, Those that Seek, or already have "Power", have always sought in one fashion or another to Manipulate/Influence the People. Whether it was a "Just & True Cause", or an "Absolute Lie", the Individual/Small group of people, strived to "Stir up the Masses".

Getting information to the People, be it True,or False, via "Printed material", Radio, TV, rallied the "People" to a Cause that they believed to be "True". In the beginning the "Printed material" could be weeks, even months old, yet it still "Stirred the People". In Today's World, Data can be instantly shared, and again,... It may be True, or It may be False, and again,.... It is a means to Influence/Control the People, and I'll say it again, "It's Orwellian" with reference to the book "1984".

"In fact, because no matter what opinion you have, you can always find "information " that agrees with your view. Human nature dictates that you will give credence to that information and reject the information that disagrees."
A "Truth",... Is not an "Opinion",... Examples of this are.:

When the Sun rises we begin the "Day", when the Sunlight retreats, we begin the Night.
Children, born with a Penis, are Males. Children born with a Vagina are Females. One can butcher their body, so as to change their Sex, but that will never enable them to change the Biological Function intended for them. Furthermore,... Creation shows that a Male, & Female are required for Reproduction. Two males having Anal Sex will never produce any children, and whatever two females do, will not produce a child. This proves that Sodomy, even though it is rapidly spreading around the World, is Absolutely Not Natural, and "Biblically" it is Forbidden.
Gravity exists.
Water runs down to the lowest point. ---- There are many, many "Truths" in Our World, that absolutely are not "Opinions".
"Neither can you expect most people to overcome that confirmation bias by doing their own research."

I Agree, & That is not only Sad, but Shocking.
I actually Believe that over time, that here in America our Youth have been Intentionally Dumbed Down via Our Public School System. I have books that My "Highly Educated", Mother in Law used as she attended a "One Room School House". Those Books when I studied them, "Blew My Mind!", because they were a Much Higher Level of Teaching, than what I received in the 1960s, because their Contents, were on Par with what I studied in College!

My children in Grade school, received a lower grade of Education than I did! I consistently argued with their Teachers over many issues, such as "Using Calculators to do their Math Work"!

Again, I Agree, but,..... But I Absolutely Believe that those that Know what is going on, should inform those that do not Know, be it a Secular Matter, or a "Biblical Matter"
The only disagreement between us I'm seeing is about why people stay uninformed.
You believe it’s intentional manipulation.
I believe confirmation bias does most of the work, people search until they find someone who already believes what they believe, regardless of whether that belief is well-informed or not. Something that's become so easy it's habit in the current information environment. As far as I can see we are noticing the same problem, just attribute it to a different cause.

That's not to say that historically people haven't been purposefully misled. Just that before the advent of cable, the internet and social media information was contained within a system that allowed information to be curated, be it for good or ill. That approach is simply not possible anymore. It's simply been replaced by a much more sinister and harder to combat system. People's desire to feel they're viewpoint is by definition correct.

I’m not claiming everything is ‘opinion.’ I’m saying people often treat opinions as facts unless they learn to tell the difference. You seem to agree with that.”

So let’s stay on that point. If I misunderstood your argument, explain which part.
