Democrats are simple minded people and follow a narrative long after it's been thoroughly debunked. It's easier to do that than go back and question, "Was that headline wrong? And if it was wrong, what else have the writers been wrong about?" That might lead to actually changing their minds about something. Heck, some of them still cling to "TRUMP! said neo-Nazis were fine people" and "Kyle Rittenhouse was hunting black people that night".

Members of the Campaign discussed the meeting before it occurred, and Michael Cohen recalled that Trump Jr. may have told candidate Trump about an upcoming meeting to receive adverse information about Clinton, without linking the meeting to Russia.
