Trump’s Not an Autocrat. He’s Following Precedents Set by Obama, Biden.

Whether it's dealing with the fallout from executive orders, mass deportations, or bombing foreign countries without explicit congressional approval, President Trump just simply needs to remind his critics that nothing he’s doing is “ahistorical or unprecedented,” advises Victor Davis Hanson on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words:”

Commentary:
Isn't it Interesting at how the DSA Marxist Democrats memory is so very short and very selective.
Hmm..., sounds like very much like Joe Biden and advanced Alzheimer's dementia.
Victor Davis Hanson certainly makes good points in the podcast. He just gave the best argument for "What Aboutism": it's precedent!
The substantive comparisons are very useful and an excellent way to make a point.
Yet, it's sad as to how pathetic the Republicans in Congress have cowardly have reacted to the 4 years of harassment and persecution by Democrats.
DSAM Democrat autocrats do not, have not followed the law. Trump is absolutely acting within the law; the DSAM Dem Left-wing presidential predecessors flouted the law and set the precedents for Trump to follow... Even now they judge shop to stall and impede the advancements created by Trump.
They now reap what they've sown. They pay for their criminal actions.

MAGA lies.

The Orange hole thinks he can set aside passed law.

He thinks he can ignore courts.

He's a bad, bad President.

Did Obama violate the law when he deported 3 million illegal aliens?
Did Joey B violate the law when he ordered the persecution of J6ers, Stone, Navarro and Donald Trump?

Yes! or No! A simple answer will do...

Problem is on most issues Trump doesn't have a position. With the Ukraine one minute he's giving them arms and criticizing Putin, the next he's praising Putin and not giving them arms.

Deflection fails again, Doc, by you.

This is about Trump failing, not Biden not Obama.

Nothing wrong about deporting illegals, only about how it is done. Trump is bad at it.

Sending J6rs to jail was justice not persecution.

You are wrong as usual.

They were both autocrats. What's your point?
Neither Obama nor Biden, nor any other American, has behaved like this in the macro picture.

I have no doubt that every President has pushed the limits here and there and stepped too far now and then. Even breaking a law. I would be shocked if that were not the case.

The flock COMPARES Trump to the rest in a feeble attempt to even things out. But they can't EQUATE him to the rest. He is making an absolute daily mockery of not only the Office of the President, he is making a mockery of INTELLIGENCE and ADULTHOOD.

Just like they keep trying to downplay Jan 6 by trying to EQUATE it with street riots, they're trying to downplay Trump's mental illness and insane behaviors by EQUATING him with NORMAL people.

It doesn't work. But it shows they know they have to TRY.

"The Obama administration, not the Trump administration, built the cages that hold many immigrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border."

Your deflections, doc, do not excuse Trump's bad behavior at all.

The American voter recognizes she/he made a mistake.

Far too smart and savvy for low IQ people like yourself .
Be he right or wrong , only Time will tell .

But certainly people of your pay grade are watching the game but not knowing/ understanding any of the rules or tactics that are used .
Just a Gullible Sheeplet

The Trump administration is on an unbroken losing streak in the courts — 0 for 4 — in its effort to defend President Donald Trump’s executive orders targeting large law firms. And things could get worse — for Trump, and for the law firms that capitulated to him.

It has been several months since the first major law firm brokered a deal with Trump to get out from under an executive order penalizing the firm for conducting work or hiring lawyers that the White House disfavors. Eight firms followed that precedent in order to avoid becoming targeted themselves, ultimately committing a combined total of nearly $1 billion in pro bono legal services to largely unspecified initiatives supported by the Trump administration. Four firms refused to buckle and successfully challenged the orders targeting them in federal district court in Washington, D.C.

It must have slipped my short, selective memory when Obama and Biden decided to punish law firms doing work they didn't want done. Or, Vic and the OP are full of shit.

Failed attempts to justify trump's actions with specious comparisons to other admins constantly pollute this board. It's quackery that doesn't stand up to the slightest bit of scrutiny.
