In the absolute remote possibility that there is a conviction (which someone else has confessed to all charges) the verdict is most likely to be vacated.

Because if the superior courts believe the verdict was motivated by something other than a matter of law...it's over and done no matter what and if egregious enough...the presiding judge can face serious enough repercussions to not only disbarr and unbench but possibly criminal charges.

Because when justice is not blind...it destroys the quality of our judiciary.

He’s describing his notes with Allen Weisselberg, then the Trump Organization's chief financial officer, working out what he was being paid for another matter, and how he would be reimbursed for it.

We are now, again, looking at Weisselberg’s handwritten notes on the reimbursement to Cohen. We have seen these at least once before, while Jeffrey McConney, an underling of Weisselberg’s, testified. But now, Cohen is testifying that he was in the room as Weisselberg made these notations on how to repay him for the hush money, as well as his shrunken bonus, and other things he was owed. This document, prosecutors say, leads straight to the repayments to Cohen, and the false documents used to disguise them. Trump is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, one for each of those documents: 11 checks, 11 invoices and 12 ledger entries.
