It's really nothing to worry about. He isn't showing any signs of dementia like Quid Quo Pedo Joe who either refused to take a cognitive function exam or did take one and hid the results from the public. Nothing even close to that.

He's talking about very old memories of things his uncle told him half a century ago.

Due to the reconstructive nature of human memory, the brain can remember events from long ago very differently over time, especially unimportant events. Long term memories are not replayed like a recording, they are reconstructed. This can change them over very long periods of time.

Or he could have been making up a fun story.

Third, Trump just passed the largest deficit increase in history outside of an emergency (COVID under him last time). Telling you the "democrats" spend the money when every single GOP president since 1980 has increased the deficit and every single democrat since 1980 has reduced the deficit is the reality - the GOP thinks you'll believe their lie because you are too lazy to find out for yourself. It is ginning you up into a frenzy over a ridiculous misstatement by the GOP.
