This is a new federal holiday. There's always criticism when something new like this comes along. Give it ten years or so, and people will adjust, and resign to the fact that once you come up with another federal holiday, it is forever and there's no going back.

10 legal holidays aren't too many. Especially with our federal government not requiring employers to provide any paid vacation days.

They should allow each president to designate which 10 days of the year will be observed as holidays to eliminate any further whining by Trump and his successors.

No, that didn’t happen until a year later on July 19th 1866. That is when the Native Americans were finally convinced (by white people) to free their black slaves.

But that reality does nothing to further the left’s racial division and anti-white racism.
