"Shortly after it was announced the majority of the convention would be held in the nation's capital, the hotel's room rates were jacked up by nearly 60 percent. The hotel is almost booked out for the week and prices start at $600 for a night and skyrocket to more than $10,000 for the hotel's top suite. The choice of the auditorium has raised some eyebrows - it's around the corner from Trump's DC International Hotel, which has long been a hub for Republicans in town."
It was a smart and brilliant business move to pick the auditorium that is right across the street from your own hotel -- I bet the Democrats wished they had thought of that -- but none of them are brilliant and successful enough to own hotels and golf resorts.
