- Assume that some minor trend in the here and now for whatever reason will just somehow magically continue into the future ad infinitum in a straight line.
- Pat yourself on the back for another job well done despite having actually not done anything yourself at all, and telling yourself it is time to sit back, relax and have a smoke now because you have it all in the bank now.
