Absolutely! The two state solution has been going on for decades and has gotten nowhere. I mean, right now, there are essentially two states with Israel and Gaza. Palestinians have shown they are incapable of living peacefully with their neighbors with Hamas or anyone that is associated with Iran and terrorism. If we take over, then we will make sure there is no Hamas or any other terrorist organization in Gaza. If Palestinians want to live and work there, great! But, they will have to do is in peace with Israel. No more "Peace Plans" than have never worked.
Do you realize Trump's plan means annexing the Gaza Strip and making it part of the United States, when that territory has been considered to be Palestinian land for decades by the international community. Israel occupied, but never annexed the Gaza Strip.
Also, it means a large deployment of U.S. troops to fight what is left of HAMAS and defend against other attacks.
What if most Palestinians refuse to move?
Forcing Palestinians or any group of people from their homes/land is considered a form of ethnic cleansing.

You're either a comedian or totally ignorant of reality.
1. Israel has no money unless we give it to them, so you are saying that the US will fund the "voluntary" relocation of 2m Gazans. Congress will never fund the relocation of Gazans, you should know that.

2. One problem is that no country wants to import Hamas terrorists. So that is a problem. What we call a "show-stopper".

3. What do you do with the 200,000 or so Gazans that would rather fight than relocate? Who roots them out? The US or IDF?

4. You apparently have no clue what ROI is. The Saudis and Qataris say no money without a New Palestine to keep Gazans together. No one else has the money to develop Gaza.

5. Trump's wet dream of Paradise Gaza is DOA. If Republicans support it they get crushed in 2026 and 2028.
You keep trying to invent problems that aren't there. President Trump's proposal is the only one that will end the conflict in Gaza permanently. The Congress and the American people will support it.

The Palestinians who will be applying to emigrate will apply to the host countries and individuals, so they won't have to accept Hamas.

The war will soon resume, the borders will be sealed and the tunnels destroyed and with the skies over Gaza thick with Israeli drones, so as the population thins, those who stay and fight will easily be hunted down and killed.

There will be no reconstruction until the conflict is permanently over and then private investors will fund the construction of the new Gaza, so what Qatar or the Saudis say is irrelevant.

Just the opposite is true. If Trump can end the conflict in Gaza, it will be a big plus for the Republicans in 2028.

haven't decided .. need more info on how this could be achieved .. hopefully Trump is being Trump and attempting to goad neighboring countries in the middle east to take a bigger hand in rebuilding to keep the US from taking control of GAZA .. i'm not in favor of more US involvement in the ME .. support defending Israel and stopping terrorists while preventing Iran from getting nukes is what I support ..

Hamas' never altering stance is completely embedded in the writings and teachings found in the Quran. That stance is that Islam is a "conquering religion," period. It is to be spread by the sword, or as in this era's case, by the weapons of the day.
The overall method is to first converse with non-believers to convince them to convert to Islam. If refused, then intimidate. If that fails, threaten. If that fails, use violence. Any land conquered from the infidels, is considered Islamic land and if infidels succeed in getting their land back, they are to be considered "occupiers," which is what we are currently seeing in Israel. GAZA isn't WWII Japan or Germany where at the end of the war, the US was able to completely rebuild the nations without conflict. The only difference was cultural and in Japan's case the religion of Shinto, wasn't anything like Islam and thus no problem.
The reason I say no regarding the US taking over GAZA, is because any Hamas or pro-Hamas Muslims residing there, will only be hostile and definitely potential terrorists and we would most definitely end up fighting there and losing military personnel in a foolish endeavor that will never be accepted by most of the residents.
As for the idea of shipping the Muslims out.......where the hell would they go? Egypt, Jordan and even Saudi Arabia don't want them, as the Palestinians tried to overthrow their governments when they were there. Wherever you would send them, they will still be plotting and killing non-Muslims.
Hell, Sunni and Shia Muslims have been killing each other for centuries. The reason, each considers the other as "not true Muslims." If one sect managed to destroy the other, then they would just focus their killing on all non-Muslims.

It actually be more like Guam. The fact is, decades of promises and promises broken. We are done with it. It's over. And, a large deployment of troops? LOL!!! The U.S. from one side and Israel from another, it's over in days. First, we have to move the population out. Then, go in and kill the rest of Hamas. Hezbollah if necessary. We are done with them. The PLO then Hamas, we are done.

Now, you are redefining "ethnic cleansing." The Holocaust is the only form of ethnic cleansing. The fact is, there is no other way to rebuild the Gaza. The people have to leave and get out of the way. It has to be cleaned up completely from the destruction before any building goes on. You might not be aware that there is no running water or commerce with food. They cannot stay there where pollution is mostly deadly. Get the people out, clean it up, and then rebuild.

What if you were drafted by Trump for construction work or military duty there?
When I was in the Army, I went where they sent me.

The "drafted for construction work" is a fairytale.

If it paid like Iraq, I'd definitely volunteer to go for at least year. The money is tax free and I'd get to live in Israel. Win/win.

We're trillions in debt, our country is falling apart, and he ran on America first... so it's insane that the question is even being asked.

Here's what I think about the new MAGA. Or should I say MTNWOGA....

Where ya been? It took a REALLY stupid idea to drag you back here.
We're on the same side of this Gaza issue. Gaza is not a resort area, its a terrorist stronghold and always will be.
Trump may be blocked by the Saudis and Qataris who insist on a new homeland for the Pals or no funding.

The best option I can think of is for the Arabs to hire constructors to build apartment complexes inland on barren unbombed tracts.
After some of the bombed buildings are empty they can start demolition and rebuilding. It will take many years until all of the bombed out buildings are removed, including the removal of unexploded ordinance.

Not our problem, let the Arabs deal with Hamas.

The United States did not ship the Japanese off of Japan when the United States helped rebuild the country after World War II. Same with Germany.

A section of the GAZA Strip can be worked on, while the people continue to live in other areas. Once that section is rebuilt, then people can come back. Continue that process all down the strip. No need to ship them anywhere when no one wants them, and they don't want to leave.

I can certainly see Trump looking at that beach and think "RESORT".

No one has a solution for the Palestinians. The two state solution is stupid and unworkable. The Palestinians won't stand for it. Their culture, their religion, their ideology all need to be destroyed. How best to do this?
Exterminate death cult islam???

I still check in, in the economics section of the site sometimes. I have a long running thread tracking the monthly unemployment rate on the Presidents since World War II.

Glad to see you don't support Trump on this. I think he is going to have to walk this back in a few days.

You have to be crazy if you don't see how far Trump is from the reality of the world.

The idea was declared devoid of reality by almost every country in the world, USA politicians on both sides of the aisle and every human with an IQ over 50.
Turning GAZA into a USA owned property to be highlighted by a Trump resort is so obvious as being out of touch.
Stopping USA aid to foreign countries, closing department of education, and many more will most likely end up with bad results.

15th post
The surrounding Arab nations are likely fine with this. It would solve the problem of what to do with the Islamic terrorists parading around as Pal’istanians.

Not much of a benefit for the US.

It would be nice if the Palestinians gave up their hatred that they were taught, and just join the Human race.
There are MANY Muslims that live side by side with da joos in Israel.
Enough with this senseless conflict.
Matzas and falafels for everyone, WOOT!!!!!

On FoxNews, one of the hosts is Joey Jones, a veteran who sits there with two metal legs. He was not in wait and see mode.
He said that he does not want any Americans in Gaza doing bomb disposal, period.

1. Trump is still batting .900 this Gaza blip was his real estate mogul DNA getting the better of him
2. When the Saudis and Qataris said no funding unless the Pals are moved to a new homeland, never happen.
3. USAID isn't dead, just relocated to the State Department.
4. Dept of Ed failed, period, full stop.
5. DOGE is doing God's work
